Frequently Asked Questions

Are you accepting new clients at this time?

Yes! Please complete the interest form here and I’ll be in touch!

I don’t identify as a Black or Brown millennial woman? Can I still work with you?

Of course! While my work focuses to provide healing spaces for Black and Brown millennial women, I work with clients of all backgrounds. If you feel that the way I work aligns with what you are looking for, please book a consultation and we can definitely chat more about your goals and how I can help you.

Do you take insurance?

I accept AETNA, Optum (UnitedHealthcare,Oscar, Oxford), Cigna, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield New York (formerly Empire), Carelon Behavioral Health, Optum Live & Work Well EAP, Resources for Living EAP (AETNA), and Confide Enhance EAP (Cigna) through Alma. I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Quest Behavioral Health, and Point32 Healthcare through Headway. If your insurance provider is not listed, I can still work with you as an out-of-network provider. In this case, you would pay the session fee of $200 upfront and then seek reimbursement directly from your insurance company. To check if your plan includes out-of-network benefits, you can log in to your insurance provider’s website or call the number on the back of your card. If out-of-network coverage is available, I will provide the necessary documentation to help you file for reimbursement.

What’s your availability for sessions?

I currently see clients on Mondays (afternoon and evening), Tuesdays (afternoon and evening), Thursdays (morning and afternoon), and Fridays (morning and afternoon).

How long are sessions?

All sessions are 45 minutes in length.

How often are sessions?

I meet with clients on a weekly or biweekly basis. Individual therapy is a long-term commitment. Healing, growth, and change do not happen overnight. This process takes time. As a therapist practicing from a primarily person-centered perspective, I believe that the relationship we cultivate in the virtual therapy room is the most important foundational part of the work we’ll do together. In order for this to happen, we must meet on a consistent basis to build a strong therapeutic rapport.

Do you see children and adolescents?

At this time, I only work with therapy-seekers 18+.

How much are sessions?

Individual sessions are $200. Payment is due at the time of service. I accept payment via debit/credit card or HSA/FSA. I also accept vouchers from Loveland and McFarland.

Loveland offers 4 vouchers (click here for more information on how to apply). You may apply for three rounds of vouchers in total from Loveland.

McFarland offers up to 10 vouchers (click here for more information on how to apply). You may be able to apply for a second round of vouchers.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

Yes, I have a limited number of sliding scales slots available. My sliding scale rates begin at $135.

Since sessions are virtual, can I work with you if I live in another state?

Even though sessions are virtual, licensing laws only allow me to work with individuals located within the states of New York (license #: 011842) and Rhode Island (license #: MHC01425) only.
